Regarding the defective R10: On the third day, the camera worked outside, but the lens wasn't recognized. At home, I connected the 15-85mm lens via an adapter, and it wasn't recognized at first either. After two seconds, it was suddenly recognized. So I reconnected the 100-400mm lens, and that worked again. I thought, "If the 100-400mm isn't recognized again, I'll take the kit lens with me as a precaution (since it's lighter than the 15-85mm) and hopefully get everything working again." Unfortunately, nothing I could do was work when the lenses weren't recognized again on the fourth day. : 'If the 100-400mm lens isn't recognized again, then I'll take the kit lens with me as a backup (since it's lighter than the 15-85mm) and hope that gets everything working again.
