Dog walker hits my camera rig mid-ride

Word on the gumtree is there’s a new bridge in town. It's been quite cold and windy lately, but today's conditions were ideal for sunbathing. So I finished burrow chores early, leaving me time for exploring. This video begins from St Kilda Pier, home of Melbourne’s wild colony of penguins. Did you know penguins have been seen using wombat warrens to escape fires and hide from predators? From here, I forage along the Bay Trail towards Port Melbourne to try my best penguin impersonation and “fly” through the water on The Punt ferry service. Leaving from Westgate Landing in Port Melbourne to cross the Yarra River, I reached Spotswood Jetty and jumped onto The Hobsons Bay Coastal Trail. As the sun was setting, my nocturnal instincts took over, keeping my eyes peeled for doggos and their walkers. I don’t know what was up with old mate, but they tried their luck in harming my camera rig. Thankfully wombats are heavily armoured and have few natural predators. After this encounter, I relied on my excellent sense of smell and whiskers to find Melbourne's newest infrastructure. Riders are now able to utilise a new pedestrian and cycling bridge over Champion Road, and trains leap over Maddox Road. The shared bike path along Market St and Railway Parade linking Newport Station to Altona North is yet to be completed. I wonder if these level crossings can be seen from space like some warrens I know of ;) Using the Dixon Veloway, I head back towards Docklands for the latest public art installation, ‘Echo of Central Pier’ which lights up Victoria Harbour, created to honour the pier’s maritime history and heritage. Featuring 147 illuminated marine buoys arranged across the water tracing the paw prints of the recently demolished section of the pier.
