Many of us rejoice when we receive a promise from God, when we see a dream, a vision, or feel a special calling upon our lives. But we often forget that there is a process between the promise and its fulfillment. Joseph saw the dreams that God had given him, but before he reached the place God had prepared for him, he was betrayed by his brothers, thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, and unjustly imprisoned. In the eyes of men, his life looked like a failure. But in the eyes of God, he was going through the process of preparation. David was anointed as king, but he did not immediately sit on the throne. He faced rejection, persecution, battles, and great challenges. People saw a simple shepherd, while God saw the king he was forming. The same thing happens today. Perhaps you have faced rejection, lack, injustice, people who do not understand you, or do not believe in what God has placed inside you. Maybe the doors are closed, and the path seems harder than ever. But remember: what seems like an obstacle may be part of God’s plan. What seems like a delay may be preparation. What seems like a defeat may be the step toward the victory God has in store for you. God does not abandon you in the process. He molds you, purifies you, strengthens you, and prepares you for the destination He has for your life. Every trial, every struggle, every tear, and every moment of difficulty can be used by Him to build your character and faith. Don’t give up because others don’t see what God sees in you. Don’t abandon your calling because the path is hard. Don’t measure God’s plan by today’s circumstances. If God has called you, accept His process. For after the process comes fulfillment. After the trial comes testimony.
