Hi all, Today we're out on the Berkshire Downs, on a circular walk from Ashbury taking in Wayland's Smithy, the Ridgeway, Ashdown House and Alfred's Castle. It was a gorgeous sunny day — the kind that makes the chalk downland glow. Bud was completely in his element, sniffing every inch of the path, wiping his paws on the grass, and getting the zoomies done TO him by a lady dog he met along the way. He did not know what to do with himself. This walk covers more history than almost anywhere we've been — from a 5,700 year old burial mound to a house built for a queen who never saw it, all connected by one of the oldest roads in Britain.
