On the occasion of Good Friday, I offer you a video dedicated to the sonnet "Father of Heaven, after the lost days" (RVF 62) by Francesco Petrarca (1304-1374). The poem likely dates back to 1338, since it states that eleven years have now passed since the fateful day when Francesco saw Laura for the first time, on Good Friday 1327.
