David Brom Massacred His Family in Their Sleep and Now He Is Free
David Brom was just 16 years old when he picked up an axe and wiped out nearly his entire family in Rochester, Minnesota. The crime scene was so shocking that even veteran officers struggled to process what they were seeing. For decades, David remained behind bars, serving three life sentences. Now, more than 35 years later, David Brom is free. Thanks to changes in Minnesota law, juveniles tried as adults no longer have to serve the same mandatory minimums as adult offenders. Instead of spending life in prison, David became eligible for parole after serving just over three decades. In 2025, at 53 years old, he walked out of prison. The decision has sparked outrage and debate across Minnesota and beyond. Can someone who wiped out their family in such a brutal way ever truly be rehabilitated? Or does some violence go so far that forgiveness — and freedom — should never be an option? #TrueCrimeRecaps #DavidBrom #MinnesotaCrime #KillerWalksFree Join this channel to get access to perks: / @truecrimerecaps SUBSCRIBE TO THE YOUTUBE SHOW!
