Step into the heart of the Chilterns with this immersive walking journey from Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire to Chesham in Buckinghamshire. Beginning at Berkhamsted Train Station, my route initially traces the Grand Union Canal southward to Lock 54, before climbing upwards through the historic streets of Berkhamsted, then crossing the A41 into the countryside. From the summit of Mount’s Hill, sweeping views accompany my journey through Whelpley Hill and Orchard Leigh, then onward to the quiet hamlet of Botley. The final stretch winds through tranquil fields before arriving at the welcoming gateway of Chesham Tube Station. A walk of contrasts; urban charm, rolling hills, and peaceful villages.
