261 Cruising the New Junction Canal and over the Don Aqueduct

In todays vlog we leave our mooring at the Sykehouse Lift Bridge and make our way south on the New Junction Canal which is part of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation. The canal is wide and straight and they day is grey. We have been waiting to come this way since the River Don has been if flood and the Don Aqueduct is finally open for navigation again. We don't make it far, just to the visitor moorings at Barnby Dun We are also lucky enough to see the Exxol Pride pass a couple of times. _________________________________________________________________________ ► MINIMAL LIST NAVIGABLE WATERWAYS MAP https://www.minimallist.co.uk/shop/p/... ► BIRMINGHAM CANAL NAVIGATIONS MAP https://www.minimallist.co.uk/shop/p/... ► MINIMAL LIST T-SHIRTS & MUGS https://www.minimallist.co.uk/shop _________________________________________________________________________ ► Our Links • BLOG• http://www.minimallist.co.uk •TWITTER•   / nbminimallist   • PATREON•   / minimallist   • FACEBOOK•   / nbminimallist   •INSTAGRAM•   / nbminimallist   _________________________________________________________________________ ► Jo wrote a short book about her travels and how she met Michael https://tinyurl.com/yaw8a7t3 _________________________________________________________________________ ► Michael's T-Shirt Shop https://www.teepublic.com/user/yawpit... _________________________________________________________________________ ► FAQ Q• Why do you speed up some of the footage in your videos? A• We don't, we film it as time-lapse footage. We do not have the battery capacity or data storage to film in real time as our cruises can last up to 7 or 8 hours. We use to the time-lapse footage to help tell the story of movement rather than showcase the scenery. We limit the amount of time-lapse shots we use in each vlog.
