The second half of Halloween Havoc has arrived, and with only one week remaining in Season 2 after tonight, every championship match could have major consequences for promotions, relegations, and championship legacies. 🎃 Match 5 – WCW United States Championship Braun Strowman (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura Braun Strowman begins his third reign as WCW United States Champion and is already trying to accomplish something he's never done before: keep the title longer than one month. Both of his previous reigns ended almost immediately, but now he enters Halloween Havoc holding one of the final Promotion Zone positions on WCW. Standing across from him is one of the most accomplished competitors in league history. Shinsuke Nakamura is a 3-time WCW/ECW Undisputed Champion, but despite multiple opportunities, he's never managed to capture the WCW United States Championship. In fact, this will be his fourth consecutive attempt at the title, though it's his first one-on-one opportunity after a series of multi-man championship matches. Can Strowman strengthen his promotion chances? Or will Nakamura finally claim the one title that has eluded him? 🎃 Match 6 – Women's Universal Tag Team Championship Violet & Emma (c) vs Ministry of Darkness 2-of-3 Falls, Falls Count Anywhere Violet & Emma have quietly assembled one of the strongest tag title reigns in the league this season. Since winning the Women's Universal Tag Team Championship back at July Cash Grab, they've successfully defended the belts three times, with only a draw preventing a perfect streak. Now they face perhaps their most important defense yet. The Ministry of Darkness has never held tag team gold, but Lady Lovecraft is a former Women's Undisputed Champion and one of the most dangerous women on the WCW roster. Alongside Kaiva Blackwell, the team enters Halloween Havoc fresh off a major victory on WCW that strengthened their position in the Promotion Zone. The stakes extend far beyond the championships. A victory for the challengers would almost guarantee promotion to SmackDown next season. A successful defense by Violet & Emma would all but secure their own promotion to WCW. And with falls counting anywhere and two falls required to win, this battle could spill throughout the entire arena. 🎃 Match 7 – Women's Undisputed Championship Samantha Carpenter (c) vs JVD Samantha Carpenter's reign continues. The 5-time Women's Undisputed Champion has done something nobody else has managed with this title: successfully defend it consistently. Every time the championship seems destined to return to chaos, Carpenter finds a way to restore order. Now she faces JVD. Earlier this season, JVD captured the ECW Underground Championship and proved she belonged among ECW's elite. After narrowly avoiding relegation at the end of Season 1, she has transformed her fortunes completely and now stands one victory away from becoming a double champion in her league career. Or will JVD complete one of the biggest turnarounds in Season 2? 🎃 Match 8 – WCW/ECW Undisputed Championship Zero (c) vs Ilja Dragunov Casket Match What better way to end Halloween Havoc than with a Casket Match? Three months ago, Ilja Dragunov lost the WCW/ECW Undisputed Championship to Santos Escobar. Moments later, Zero cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and defeated Escobar to begin one of the most surprising title reigns of the season. Since then, Zero has successfully defended the championship four times. Three of those defenses came against Dragunov. And every single time, Zero found a way to retain. Now Dragunov gets one final opportunity. No pinfalls. No submissions. No count-outs. The only way to win is to seal your opponent inside the casket waiting at ringside. Both men lead their respective divisions. Zero has already secured promotion to WCW next season. Dragunov currently sits atop WCW's standings, but unlike Zero, his promotion is not completely guaranteed. Can Dragunov finally end Zero's reign and reclaim the championship for a fourth time?
