A bridge rectifier is an electronic device used to rectify the alternating current of the network and convert it into direct current, to be able to use it in most electronic devices, it is a basic element in any power supply, power supplies for portable equipment, etc. Those with four terminals are usually full-wave rectifiers, which means that they house four diodes arranged in a bridge configuration: two diodes to rectify half a wave, and another two diodes to rectify the other half wave. Many of these devices are encapsulated and sealed with tar or other materials, so there is no way to access them and check the status of the diodes individually. However, knowing how they are internally connected, their status can be checked with a simple multimeter.
