Garahan Tunnel, this is a railway tunnel built by the Dutch in 1901-1902. The Garahan Tunnel connecting Jember and Banyuwangi turns out to have a unique story. At that time, the Logawa train from Purwokerto-Jember was going to be extended to Ketapang station in Banyuwangi. The Logawa train already used the latest SS NG series from PT INKA. However, the Logawa train failed to be extended to Banyuwangi using the SS NG series because the train did not fit into the Garahan tunnel, also known as Mentok. As a result, the Logawa train was extended to Banyuwangi not using the SSNG series but using the first generation SS series.
