Jimmy Rogers's Rock This House, Guitar Lesson by Johnny Burgin w Special Guest Chris Corcoran

Recently I did an intimate guitar workshop with UK Blues Award Winner, noted swing/blues player Chris Corcoran, at London's famed blues dive Ain't Nothin' But. (I'll post about an hour video of that workshop on my Patreon page, and I'll upload some clips of us playing together on this channel). The workshop put me in mind of Jimmy Rogers's great song "Rock This House", featuring the instantly-recognizable, fleet and clean style of Reggie Boyd. Reggie was a teacher to three generations of guitarists including folks like Otis Rush, Louis Myers, Buddy Scott, and many others. He charted horns for a Fenton Robinson album, played bass on Buddy Guy's Left My Heart in San Francisco, and played with Chess organ jazz artist Milt Buckner.
