Follow me on Instagram @volkswizard.co.uk In this video I have the pleasure of comparing the new G87 generation BMW M2 with the current 8Y generation Audi RS 3.This video wouldn't have been possible without the refreshingly open minded perspective of the BMW UK press office and the generosity of Ed, Nathan and the team at APS in Brackley. http://apsspecialistvehicles.co.uk PLEASE NOTE - I try and avoid watching loads of reviews before I have to do my own as I like to come to my own conclusions (having been a proper motoring journalist in the past for VW Driver and Audi Driver magazines) but I do watch them afterwards and of the 2 I have watched (Harry's Garage and STG) both refer to the weight as either 1700 or 1725 kg. I stated 1800 kg which is the figure I got from the Engine/Technical data section on the M2 configurator which states "Unladed Weight (EU) 1800 kg". I didn't use the vehicle info supplied by the BMW Press Office as the prices shown had increased significantly since the vehicle was registered in May (approx. £5k in total) so maybe that was where they go it from. The manual gearbox option has pretty much doubled too with most reviews quoting £500 ish, it now increases the cost from £65830 to £67030 (£1200), all prices quoted were from the BMW UK configurator as listed in December 2023.
