Bad Rock // No Rock is Good Rock

The glaggles are back! 650 miles of driving round trip, 6 miles on bike, 6 miles on skis. All to ski 2000 feet of snow covered rock. Seems insane. But when I got an email from ‪@DanNoakes‬ a picture of Bad Rock I thought it looked unique enough to be worth the hassle. And it totally was. I didn’t even know that part of Idaho existed. I’d been to Borah Peak before but hadn’t looked at the Lost River Range with the eyes of a skier. It turns out the range has lots of vistas to tickle and tantalize the cones and rods of the discerning backcountry skier. Actually, it was hard to stick with our sparsely snow covered objective when the more popular Church Mountain looked so appealing. Somehow we managed to stay on task and ski an objective that has been on Dan’s list for some time. I was just happy to get the invite and tag along.
