Beyond that lay a huge Koreatown developed with Korean capital. However, upon walking around, empty shops and properties were noticeable, and only buildings that hinted at its former vibrancy remained, creating a quiet streetscape. Could this be a reflection of the ups and downs of the Korean economy? Flags of all nations without the Japanese flag, deserted streets, empty commercial facilities… The sight made Shizuka stop in her tracks. Continuing her walk through the city, she found an elementary school built with the cooperation of Japanese people and a Kobe-based company! Upon closer inspection, it didn't seem to be the school built by the NTV program "Gyoretsu no Dekiru Horitsu Sodanjo" (A Line of People Seeking Legal Advice). However, what she saw there was a Korean flag painted on the wall of the school building. Why did it end up like this? Why is South Korea so obsessively fixated on Japan?
