These Are Tokyo's Top Tattoo-Friendly Onsen!

Most bathhouses in Japan - onsen and sento alike - have strict “no tattoo” policies, so if you're at all inked up, this can put a serious dent in your travel plans. Thankfully, there ARE options, and Tokyo has quite a few great bathhouses that are tattoo-friendly, allowing you to enjoy this amazing aspect of Japanese culture. In this video I’ve profiled four of my favourite tattoo-friendly bathhouses in Tokyo, but have also pointed out quite a few other options, including an amazing outdoor bathing experience in the popular tourist destination of Hakone - which is just outside Tokyo.
