This Thursday's (23rd) edition of Giro do Boi highlighted one of the fastest-growing and most interesting Zebu breeds in Brazil: the Sindi. In an interview, Henrique Garbellini Carnio, director of ABCSindi and an enthusiast of the breed, explained why these animals of Pakistani origin have earned the nickname "joker". With a 6,000-year history of natural selection in desert conditions, the Sindi offers Brazilian cattle ranchers a rare combination of extreme hardiness, feed efficiency, and dual aptitude (meat and milk), making it the ideal solution for areas with difficult production.
