La Tragedia Griega (III). Esquilo: el primer y grandioso creador de la tragedia. Eva Tobalina

Third lecture in the series on the fascinating world of Greek Tragedy, the great genre that emerged in Ancient Greece and, inspired by its myths and sacred performances, reached its zenith in 5th-century BC Athens, whose influence on Western culture remains strong to this day. This session introduces us to the first of its great writers, Aeschylus, and some of the most notable Greek tragedies, including "The Persians," "Seven Against Thebes," and "Agamemnon." Later, we will explore Sophocles and Euripides, and culminate with Greek art linked to tragedy, so influential in contemporary art and culture. All of this will be brought to us by Eva Tobalina, a brilliant professor of Ancient History and an extraordinary communicator, who will allow us to learn, enjoy, and be inspired to read the great tragedies of Ancient Greece. The session could not be held in person because the speaker had a cold, but this did not prevent her from presenting the lecture via videoconference.
