Statehood Being Used as Bait for BJP's Backdoor Bid for Power in J&K: Omar Abdullah

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah accused the BJP of repeatedly engineering splits in opposition parties and questioned its denial of attempts to destabilise the National Conference. Citing the splits in the NCP, Shiv Sena, TMC and AAP and alleged efforts against other opposition parties, he said the BJP had openly spoken about "Operation Lotus" in the past. Omar said while his government is being accused of making backdoor appointments, the real backdoor entry is made by BJP to grab power where it can’t enter into seat of power from frontdoor.
