Case IH Optum im Vergleich zu Puma und Magnum: Gibt es Platz für den Allrounder?

Compact yet powerful: Case IH has introduced the Optum series, positioned between the Puma and Magnum models. top agrar tested the concept on both field and road. Two years ago, Case IH introduced the Optum. Its concept is right on trend: ample engine power, but with the most compact dimensions possible. In a system comparison, we wanted to find out: Where do these machines fit in? Will they perhaps suffer the fate of many universal solutions – they can do many things, but nothing exceptionally well? In our case, that could mean: too heavy for the road and too light for the field. Therefore, last summer we compared these three tractors: The large standard: Puma 240 CVX with 199 kW/270 hp maximum power – the largest model in this series. The powerful all-rounder: Optum 300 CVX with 230 kW/313 hp maximum power – the most powerful of (soon to be) three tractors in this series. The Optum is the most expensive tractor in the test, even though the Magnum offers more engine power. The heavy-duty agricultural specialist: Magnum 310 CVX with a boosted maximum output of 281 kW/382 hp. All models featured a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
