The Cordoba singer-songwriter invites ABC Cultural to visit Pozoblanco and explore the places where her grandfather Pepe taught her to sing while working the land. She recalls that childhood, "beautiful and difficult at the same time," many years before it was hailed as the "new flamenco revolution." Just over a month ago, on an ordinary Wednesday in Madrid, María José Llergo (Pozoblanco, 1994) gave "a very special concert" at the Teatro Circo Price. "The truth is, I was very moved because last year was very hard for me, and the fact that I was able to do it under those conditions was an immense gift," she tells ABC Cultural. Despite the pouring rain that afternoon, there were hardly any empty seats.
