I Didn’t Expect to Find This in My 80 Series… While Removing the Old Drawer Setup

In this video I continue working on my 1991 Toyota LandCruiser 80 Series as I prepare it for roadworthy and registration here in Victoria. The old rear drawer setup and dual battery system had to come out so I could start rebuilding the rear properly for touring and camping. While removing the old drawers we found something I honestly didn’t expect — the original Toyota LandCruiser factory toolkit complete with spanners, tools and the original jack. This 80 Series has over 550,000km on it and is slowly getting a full clean-up and refresh as I build it into the ultimate touring setup. In this episode: • Removing the old rear drawer setup • Removing rear seat belts for roadworthy • Replacing damaged driver & passenger seat belts • Removing the old secondary battery system • Cleaning up messy wiring in the engine bay • Fixing lighting & spotlight wiring issues • Auto electrician wiring clean-up • Discovering the original Toyota toolkit Vehicle: 1991 Toyota LandCruiser 80 Series More upgrades are coming soon including: • Slimline drawer setup • Dual battery system • Engel fridge setup • Starlink setup • Touring & camping upgrades If you enjoy LandCruiser builds, 4WD projects and overlanding content make sure to subscribe and follow the build journey. 00:00 Intro 00:16 Roadworthy prep begins 01:36 Plans for the new drawer setup 02:06 550,000km Grandpa Spec 80 Series 03:52 Removing the old drawer system 05:16 Wiring and battery isolator issues 07:21 Removing rear seat belts 07:57 Discovering the original Toyota toolkit 09:37 Replacing front seat belts 12:06 Removing the secondary battery setup 14:26 Spotlight and headlight issues 15:51 Replacing radiator hoses 16:56 Day 2 wiring clean-up 19:20 Fixing headlights and relays 20:50 Auto electrician wiring cleanup 21:44 Final engine bay result #landcruiser #80series #4wd #toyotalandcruiser #overlanding Follow the 80 Series build journey here: Instagram: @jsys80   / jsys80   TikTok: @jsyseighty   / jsyseighty   Facebook: JSYS80   / jsys80
