England 2-2 Argentina (1974)
No meeting between England and Argentina seems complete without controversy and that is the case in a friendly at Wembley in May 1974 as England dispute the visitors being awarded a late penalty in a 2-2 draw. Mario Kempes scores twice for Argentina as they recover from 2-0 down, with Mick Channon and Frank Worthington having scored for England under caretaker manager Joe Mercer. (Apologies incidentally for any confusion about David Coleman describing an action replay in which he felt England should have had a penalty just before they went 2-0 up, the footage isn't in the feed this is from).
