In this video, I’m sharing my experience of preparing for the German A1 exam with my new friend Naomi, whom I met on Instagram! Both of our husbands are in Germany, and we’re taking this exciting step to join them. Despite only having two weeks to study the entire A1 level, I was doing my best to prepare for the exam at the Goethe Institute in Nairobi, Kenya. It’s amazing how social media brought Naomi and me together, turning us into study partners and friends during this journey. She supported me with grammar, vocabulary, and conversation practice, and bonded over our shared goal of starting a new chapter in Germany with our families. This experience has been a reminder of God’s faithfulness and the importance of community—even one that starts online!
