Climbing Reynolds Mountain in Glacier National Park (SKETCHY)

I park at Logan Pass in Glacier National Park, Montana for an evening July ascent of Reynolds Mountain. I choose to traverse the north face of the mountain via the famous goat trail. The exposure is quite intense, and there is still some snow on the trail that I have to circumnavigate. I slip and slide along the trail thanks the Glacier's infamous loose sedimentary rock as I scramble my way to the top. Even though it's a warm summer evening, there is still a lot of snow at the pass and on parts of the mountain. I don't bring any real mountaineering gear (crampons, ice axe, hiking/trail running poles), so I also slip and slide on the snow. It's a great time. Part 2 (the descent):    • Video
