WolfQuest Anniversary Edition - Single Mother Challenge - Year 2 - A New Grudge and Sweet Revenge

Now comfortably settled at their summer rendezvous site, Keres and her pack start to find hunting a bit more of a struggle, though there are still fawns and calves in the grass, all the adults are more healthy, which means Keres and her yearlings take on more injuries hunting to feed themselves. Another pup falls ill, her only light coated boy, and the Mudpot wolves attack, but Keres is not merciful this time, she takes out the wolf that kills her ill son, and though it's satisfying at first, she still cannot allow that pack to live either. Two grudges against rival packs, and she comes out quite injured, so she seeks out another mate to help, but he's a Van Winkle dispersal, so she can't let him live too long. After she heals up, she takes him to fight a hex invasion, just the two of them, and lets the wolves take him out to deal a blow to Van Winkle, before the deep summer arrives and hunger strikes hard and fast. This is a single parent and black widow legacy wolf challenge. All of the wolves of the Maelstrom pack will be single parents, meaning they won't have a mate which brings down the max affinity to 75% and they do not have another wolf to help defend pups, or hunt, or keep pups out of the grass so they can get their hunting up. To make it even more difficult, you have to play on accurate as an iron wolf, but there are no stat requirements. The first year was the hardest for Keres since she had no one to help her, but she made the most of it all the same and she loves the pups she raised herself, along with her newest litter of tiny pups.
