Maracaibo - Cómo se juega - Tutorial - Juego de Mesa
BUG FOUND: The A cards are on the DARK string. The B cards are on the light string (thanks Verónica and Jose Luis!!) Question RESOLVED about WHEN to collect the 2 VP for passing an assistant at a fork: when you pass their number (example: if the assistant is on the 5th, you collect them when you reach or pass the 6th, not when you enter the fork at the 3rd). Many thanks to Antonio Morán who posted the question on the BGG forum. You can get this game at https://amzn.to/46gnmqS Maracaibo is a board game where players represent sailors and adventurers who sail the Caribbean and try to earn the respect of nations, establishing strong alliances with each other, with the ultimate goal of achieving fame and wealth. Maracaibo, the new strategy game for 1-4 players by Alexander Pfister, the iconic author of bestsellers such as Mombasa, Great Western Trail, Port Royal, and Blackout Hong Kong. Maracaibo takes place in the Caribbean during the 17th century: several nations are in a constant struggle for dominance over these lands, while striving to consolidate their political and economic power in the area. Maracaibo is a board game in which players represent sailors and adventurers sailing the Caribbean and seeking to gain the respect of nations, establishing strong alliances with each other, with the ultimate goal of achieving fame and wealth. Meanwhile, they can hire assistants to assist them in the various ports on their journey through the Caribbean. You must do everything possible to win; your opponents are relentless, and you never know when the end of the round may unfold. Only if you successfully carry out your plans will victory be yours. This can be achieved through a multitude of strategies, focusing on one in particular or trying to score points in each and every one of them. These objectives can be achieved through different strategies: • Upgrade your ship and turn it into a powerful vessel. • Participate in battles supporting a nation. • Work as a privateer. • Trade. • Complete missions (players will explore one or more tiles and participate in a mini-story). • Explore the interior. In addition to these strategies, Maracaibo offers many other options in the game. In Maracaibo, turns move quickly and fluidly: move your ship between different locations and perform the action of the space where you end your movement. At first, the main cities of the Caribbean will be the most powerful actions, but as you establish your own assistants in various ports on the map, new possibilities will open up. Maracaibo also includes a unique story mode: You can optionally play Maracaibo as a campaign, experiencing a thrilling story as you progress. Along the way, several surprises change the way the game unfolds. It also features an excellent solo mode where you'll have to face other players who activate according to command patterns, giving you plenty of headaches if you want to win. #BoardGames #BoardGame
