For crust: cream butter, sugar, vanilla, salt and blend in flour 2. Use 9" spring form pan and put pastry in. Spread on sides and bottom of pan. Set aside. 3. For filling: combine cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix well 4. Pour filling into the crust and spread evenly 5. Combine apples, cinnamon, sugar. 6. Arrange over cheese mixture 7. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top 8. Bake at 425C degrees for 15 minnutes. Lower temperature to 375C and bake for another 35 minutes 9.
