Omar Sharif explains how he was cast in FUNNY GIRL

During a special AFI FEST 2003 Tribute to Omar Sharif, the actor remembers William Wyler's decision to cast him in FUNNY GIRL with the question, "Why not Omar Sharif? in the role of Nick Arnstein. He accepted the role once it was offered to him. FUNNY GIRL was directed by Wyler and also starred Barbra Streisand.
