Bergmanns Kinder-Akademie: DIE LUNGE - Wie sie uns Leben einhaucht.
Bergmann's Children's Academy invites young researchers between the ages of 8 and 12 to delve into the world of medicine via livestream. The event on February 19, 2022, will focus on the topic of "lungs." One of the most important organs in our body is the lungs! What happens to the air we breathe in the lungs? How does oxygen get into our bodies? Dr. Patience Eschenhagen will explain these processes using three models of the lungs, bronchi, and alveoli. Inhaling and exhaling seems like a completely natural activity, but it's a well-coordinated interplay between the diaphragm and other muscles. During a breathing exercise, you'll experience firsthand which muscles and areas of the body are involved in breathing. You can also make your own model of the breathing process. For this, you'll need a plastic bottle, scissors, tape, two thick straws, one larger balloon, and two smaller balloons. Take a deep breath – an interactive online event awaits you!
