Here I show the Repair Of an Ameritron Al-80b Amplifier Replacement of plate tune air variable capacitor, series glitch resistors, gas discharge tubes and the output so-239 connector Also touched up on poor solder joints and cleaned the rotary switches with deoxit gold Correction, only 1 connection to be disconnected front side of the air variables. Connection is accessed through the front of the chassis when the front panel is removed. The connection is on the load tuner. Also it is easier to use a wrench not a ratchet to remove.
