Having recorded several accordion albums in Rio Grande do Sul in the 1990s, Cezar won some of the main accordion competitions in that state, such as the Vacaria International Rodeo and the Rodeio da Gaita-Ponto from Caxias do Sul, among others. Cezar holds a Master's and Doctorate in Music from UFRGS and teaches accordion in Porto Alegre/RS and online.
