In this video, I take on my very first CNC project with the Sainsmart Genmitsu Cubiko Desktop CNC and walk through the full process in a beginner friendly way for anyone coming from 3D printing. If you’ve been curious about CNC but felt intimidated by it, this video is meant to help bridge that gap. I cover unboxing, setup, CNC bits, different materials, using the completely free Kiri:Moto CAM software to prepare my STL files, machining a clamp style bottle opener with wooden handles that I modeled in FreeCAD, and assembling the finished project in the end.
