OpenBVE Throwback (July 4th Special) - R38 FAS Train

July 4th Special - R38 Franklin Avenue Shuttle, round trip run between Franklin Avenue and Prospect Park. The run takes place at first during the pre-1995 days when Dean Street station was still open; it has since closed due to fare evasion. Also the conditions had deteriorated and it was planned to close the route for good. If it wasn't for the community that stepped up to prevent this and instead convince a full renovation, it would've certainly happened. The R38 was in service from 1966 to 2009 and a similar build to the R32s which entered service in 1964 as both had stainless steel exteriors as an anti-grafitti measure. It was refurbished in 1986. The R160 replaced the entire R38 fleet by 2009 with the first few cars being reefed in 2008; the last set was retired in 2009. All cars except 4028 & 4029 and including 4142 which is mass produced for this set were stripped of parts and reefed. Originally it was planned to do a dual route run with this train on the present day version along with the pre-1995 one as seen here, but was canceled last minute due to storage limitations on my PC.
