I finally love my EDC. And yeah, I know that sounds like a weird thing to say at the start of an EDC video. But for years I was building my everyday carry the same way most guys do. I'd see cool stuff online, buy it, get over it, and do it all again. Belts, holsters, lights, knives I said I'd never spend money on. The cycle never ended. The problem was I was building my EDC around a version of myself that didn't exist. I was optimizing for YouTube scenarios instead of my actual life as a homeschooling dad of five kids, nine and under, who drives a minivan and needs to get in and out of a car seat 30 to 40 times a day.
