Modern culture has taught us that we are defined by our past—especially by our traumas. But does memory really have that power? In this video, we analyze the influence of Freud and the so-called victim culture, Alfred Adler's proposal on goals and responsibility, and we confront these views with Catholic anthropology. In the light of faith, the past is not denied, but redeemed: grace orders memory, forgiveness liberates, and Confession recreates the inner man.
