Así ha sido el primer día SIN PEAJES en Cataluña y Aragón | RTVE

All tolls currently in effect between Zaragoza and the Mediterranean coast and between France and Tarragona, as well as other sections that also run through Catalonia, will have to remove their barriers and become free for all users starting at midnight (Spanish peninsular time) on Wednesday, September 1. This totals just over 550 kilometers, for which a car currently pays around €58 to travel. This money drivers will save from now on, at least until a new toll system is implemented throughout Spain, as the government plans to do in 2024. However, contrary to these plans aimed at reducing the €9 billion deficit on Spanish roads, since 2018 the government has already exempted tolls on 652 kilometers of the AP-1 between Burgos and Armiñón, the AP-7 between Alicante and Tarragona, and the AP-4 between Seville and Cádiz. This time, it concerns the section of the AP-2 between Zaragoza and El Vendrell, in the province of Tarragona, and the section of the AP-7 between the French border and the city of Tarragona. A total of 477 kilometers. For the first connection, a car pays 25.95 euros, and for the second, 25.75 euros. The elimination of these tolls will benefit not only the Catalan and Aragonese population, but also all residents of the northern, central, and western parts of the Iberian Peninsula who travel to Barcelona or to visit the Costa Brava or Dorada, with popular destinations like Salou. Thus, for example, the entire section between Madrid and Barcelona will be free. #roads #tolls #spain #cataluá #highways #free #tolls #coronavirus #covid19 #news #LiveNews #StreamingNews #spain #newsinSpanish 👉👉 More news: https://www.rtve.es/noticias ➤SUBSCRIBE to RTVE News on YouTube: https://bit.ly/2WtyvUx ✔️Follow us on Instagram:   / rtvenoticias   ✔️Follow us on Twitter:   / rtvenoticias   ✔️Follow us on Facebook:   / rtvenoticias
