Ahogy az óra jár

Az „Ahogy az óra jár” című dokumentumfilm a székelyudvarhelyi egykori zsidó közösség történetéről szól. A városba a XIX. században beköltöző zsidóság magyar anyanyelvűvé válva, Trianon után sem változtatott az erdélyi magyarsághoz fűződő viszonyán, kulturális kötődésén. A településen már egyetlen zsidó sem él, a holokauszt túlélők többsége Erdélyt is elhagyva, Izraelbe költözött. A több mint egy évszázadnyi békés együttélést lezáró tragédia helyi vonatkozásai a mai székelyudvarhelyiek számára teljesen ismeretlenek voltak, ezen kívántak változtatni a dokumentumfilm alkotói. Filmul documentar evocă istoria fostei comunități evreiești din Odorheiu Secuiesc. Evreii care s-au stabilit în oraș, în secolul al XIX-lea, au devenit vorbitori de limbă maghiară păstrând bune relații cu maghiarii din Tranisilvania chiar și după Tratatul de la Trianon. În prezent nu mai trăiește nici un evreu în localitate. Majoritatea supraviețuitorilor Holocaustului au părăsit Transilvania, mutându-se în Israel. Tragedia care a pus capăt unei perioade de peste un secol de conviețuire pașnică a rămas complet necunoscută locuitorilor actuali din Odorheiu Secuiesc, iar realizatorii filmului documentar și-au pus în gând să schimbe acest lucru. The documentary film evokes the history of the former Jewish community in Odorheiu Secuiesc. The Jews who settled down in the town in the 19th century adopted Hungarian language and identity and maintained good relations with the Hungarians of Transylvania even after Trianon Treaty. Today there are no Jews living in the town. Most Holocaust survivors left Transylvania and moved to Israel. The tragedy that ended more than a century of peaceful coexistence remains completely unknown to the current inhabitants of Odorheiu Secuiesc, and the makers of the documentary set out to change that.
