High Level Dialogue: Interactive Discussion: Governing and Scaling Brain-Positive Cities

EMEA high-level dialogue “Brain Economy and Brain-Positive Cities: Building Urban Ecosystems for Human Flourishing, Resilience and Sustainable Development”, 06 July 2026 The programme continued with an interactive discussion on “Governing and Scaling Brain-Positive Cities,” moderated by Yara Saab, Director of EMEA. The discussion brought together participants to consider the governance frameworks, multi-level cooperation, financing mechanisms, public-private partnerships, investment approaches, indicators and policy priorities needed to advance Brain-Positive City agendas. Participants also considered how municipalities, regional and national governments, academia, civil society, cultural institutions and the private sector can cooperate to support implementation and scale brain-positive approaches across cities and regions. Following the final exchange, the event concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Rym Ayadi, President of EMEA. Prof. Ayadi thanked the chairs, speakers, discussants, collaborating organisations and participants for contributing to the dialogue and advancing interdisciplinary exchange on the future of brain-positive urban development.
