The Mystery of Prosperity Revealed by Hector Othon What is your opinion regarding the belief that living by borrowing, being dependent on others, or seeking help is a solution for the life of a supposedly needy person? In my assessment, the idea that living indefinitely "hanging on," borrowing, or depending on others is a solution for life is limited and often harmful. It may solve an immediate need, but it rarely builds lasting prosperity. True prosperity seems to arise when a person discovers: "What can I offer?" This question transforms consciousness. Even someone with few resources possesses something that can be put into circulation: work; attention; knowledge; talent; creativity; dedication; presence; care; service; life experience. When this happens, the person ceases to perceive themselves only as a receiver of life and begins to participate in the creative current. There is also a spiritual dimension to this theme. Many traditions teach that the Universe responds to what we put into motion. Not necessarily in a mathematical or immediate way, but according to a broader understanding of reciprocity. The seed doesn't demand fruit before being planted. First, it surrenders to the earth. Then comes growth. Prosperity, in this sense, wouldn't be a prize granted to the most fortunate, but a natural consequence of conscious participation in the flow of life. Perhaps the great mystery of prosperity isn't accumulating, nor asking, nor waiting for someone to solve our problems. Perhaps it's understanding that we were made to participate in the dance of exchange. To receive when necessary. To offer whenever possible. And to grow to the point where our presence in the world becomes a blessing for others and for ourselves.
