Bosozoku gangs are said to have been eradicated from Nagasaki Prefecture. However, reckless driving continues, and complaints about loud driving at night continue to come in. From the heyday of bosozoku in the Showa era to their demise in the Reiwa era, we look back at the half-century history of bosozoku and the Nagasaki Prefectural Police's crackdown on them. From their heyday in the Showa era, when citizens worked together to eradicate them, to the Heisei era, when it has become increasingly difficult to grasp their true nature. To protect the peace of citizens and the lives of young people, police crackdowns will continue until the day when reckless driving is no longer a problem. (Broadcast on February 26, 2025)
