Christians Don't Need More Fun
As conversations surrounding joy, fun, and the Christian life continue to gain traction online, it is worth asking whether these are the priorities consistently emphasized by Christ and His apostles. Christians are absolutely free to enjoy God's gifts, but in an age increasingly shaped by entertainment, self-indulgence, and distraction, many churches seem to be neglecting the repeated call found in Scripture to prioritize holiness, discernment, self-denial, and spiritual maturity. In this video, we explore the biblical distinctions between fun and joy, childlike faith and childish faith, the importance of reverence and the fear of the Lord, and how a diminished view of Christ often reveals itself in subtle ways. I hope this video encourages likeminded believers toward greater discernment, maturity, and a deeper reverence for the Lord. 0:00 Intro 1:54 The why behind this video 3:47 Christians can have fun! 4:37 Fun vs joy 7:47 Childlike vs childish 9:53 What we think about Christ 11:41 Attractional church 13:16 A low view of Christ 14:59 What the world needs ----- I hope this video encouraged you today - if it did and you'd like to see more like it, be sure to SUBSCRIBE!
