Are These Hunts Overrated? – African Game Species Rated by PHs

Which African game species deserve more attention, and which ones might receive a little too much hype? In this video, we rate African hunting species as underrated, overrated, or perfectly rated based on the hunting experience, challenge, value, character, and the reactions we see from hunters in camp. Before anyone gets angry, overrated does not mean bad. The question is simply whether hunters give them too much attention, too little attention, or exactly the amount they deserve. We are also only rating species that we currently offer through Trophy Destinations. This is not intended to be a complete ranking of every huntable species in Africa. We also discuss whether chasing inches has become one of the most overrated parts of modern trophy hunting. A giant kudu, sable, nyala, or buffalo is always special, but when the measurement becomes more important than the hunt itself, something can easily be lost.
