Fly fishing Colorado is something I have had on my mind ever since my first visit to the Rocky Mountains. The South Platter River is known as being one of the most technical fisheries in the world. Although very large fish exist, they are rarely landed. This stems largely from the high amount of fishing pressure from Denver, Colorado. People have even gone as far as to call fishing the South Platte "combat fly fishing" meaning you will always be fighting others for fish. Dallas, my brother, and I decided to fish the South Platte mostly because it was on our way to other areas that we wanted to fish and we knew of the big fish that held in the river. We were very fortunate to have people like Justin (crazypius9 on IG) to help show us at least one spot to increase our odds of hooking up. Luckily we caught a handful of fish, and they were fairly nice fish even for the body of water we were fishing. I hope everyone enjoys this video!
