The Ancient Galilee Boat (Jesus Boat) at the Yigal Allon Centre
The Yigal Allon Centre contains the Ancient Galilee Boat, referred to as the Jesus Boat. It was discovered near the shore of the Sea of Galilee by two brothers who lived at the Kibbutz Nof Ginosar, the grounds that the Centre/Museum is on. It took many years in the process of protecting the boat, raising it from the water and preserving it, before it could be exposed to the air and finally shown in its present state to the public.
