Pontiac Vibe replacing melted 9003 H4 Headlight Connector

Today I replaced both brake light bulbs and two headlight bulbs in this '04 Vibe. I saved the driver's side 9003 bulb for last, and when I pulled off its connector I learned it was badly melted, and not useable. And the wire that went to the melted area's terminal was also compromised. So on a second trip to the auto store, I got a replacement harness - a two pack no less.
