Walt Whitman Bridge westbound

The Walt Whitman Bridge (named for the famous American poet who lived in nearby Camden, NJ) carries I-76 across the Delaware River less than 5 miles south of central Philadelphia. The bridge opened in 1957 and has a main suspension span of 2,000 ft. It was also designed by the same firm that designed the more famous Delaware Memorial, George Washington, and Verrazano Narrows Bridges...
