YZ65 bLU cRU Cup SuperFinale MXoN France in Ernee What a wonderful experience! What a big, difficult track! What an incredible crowd: 110,000 people! Among all the best riders in the world at the Motocross of NATIONS 🤩 Great how Yamaha has arranged everything again! And it was really cool that I was selected again to drive for the Netherlands 🙏🏻🤩 On Thursday we had a training day with all bLU cRU riders on a very nice track: MX Romagné provided by Nancy van der Ven and Brian Jorgensen. Nice to get used to the height differences in France! On Friday we arrived at the MXoN track in Moto Club Ernee. Wow what a track! So big! Technically...I've never seen anything like it! Awesome! I walked the track, sometimes climbed it 😜, this was quite a challenge! On this day we had to pick up my clothes, stick on sticker sets, inspect motorcycles, take photos, etc. I also did some test starts on the test track together with Jett Lawrence and Liam Everts, what an experience 🤩🤩 On Saturday the time had finally come! The competition day! Training: After everyone had trained, the track was sprayed soaking wet before the 65cc had to train 😭😅 It was really slippery! With incredibly deep marks! The riders were everywhere... Some didn't even come up, so I had to slalom around the fallen riders 🙈😅 After 3 laps I would go to my father in the pit lane. He told me that I had the fastest time so far. Then we started the time training. I had had 2 laps, but I had fallen there too 😅 With only 4 minutes to go I had to try to set a time. In the end I had an 11th time.. The bLU cRU SuperFinale: After a few more test starts I was completely ready for the race! Exciting!! What a super good start! 2nd through the 1st bend. And managed to keep this up for 2 rounds. Then I was overtaken and I was 3 for the entire match. Unfortunately, I was just overtaken on the last lap and just missed out on a podium spot. Ultimately I managed to finish 4th, which I am really proud of! Never expected to get such a good result 🙏🏻🤩🤩 Yamaha bLU cRU thank you very much for everything!
