Searching For Gigi, Bella & Mohamed Hadid’s Stolen House in Safed, Palestine
A fascinating journey taken by me and @theSalukie search of Gigi, Bella & Mohamed Hadid’s confiscated property in Palestine. The family lived in Safed, a picturesque hilltop town in the north of nowadays Israel for hundreds of years until the Naka which brought about their expulsion - first to Syria, then to Lebanon, next the USA. The rest is history. Mohamed, the expelled baby, has become a real estate tycoon. His daughters Bella and Gigi are a modeling legend, but they never forgot their roots. Their lovely house was confiscated by the Israeli government without compensation and given to Jews. Who lives there now? What is the value of the property? How does it look like? What do the neighbours think? And how is my father related to the saga? The answers to all these questions are found in this picaresque documentary - shot in May 2025 in occupied Palestine. 🍉
