Alicante, Benidorm, and Elche are all located in the same province of Alicante, right next to each other. ✈️ How to get there? → Fly into Alicante Airport (ALC), then take bus C-6 to the city center. Between cities: take the TRAM (Line L1) to Benidorm, or the Cercanías train to Elche, or even better, take a direct bus from the bus station. 🏰 How to get to the Santa Bárbara Fortress? → Walk through the Santa Cruz neighborhood OR take the high-speed elevator in the cliff - the entrance is in the tunnel opposite Postiguet Beach. 🏖️ Best beaches → In Alicante, Playa del Postiguet, and the huge and wide Playa de San Juan. In Benidorm, Levante and Poniente. 🥘 What to try? → Authentic Valencian paella (especially Arroz a banda), local nougat (Turrón de Jijona), and horchata. 🛍️ Where to shop? → For groceries, ham, and fresh fish, head to the large Mercadona (in the center), the Central Market (Mercado Central), or the giant Alcampo hypermarket in the Plaza Mar 2 shopping center.
